In order to eliminate your debt, increase your cash flow and allow you to invest for the future, we take the following steps:
- 1Review your financial problems and establish your long term goals
By meeting you in a face to face consultation we will learn and understand the financial challenges you are experiencing and your priorities for the future..
- 2Explain your options
All your options for eliminating your debts will be covered in detail so that you will be able to make an informed decision for yourself as to what to do. You may opt to use 4 Pillars but will be under no obligation to do so.
- 3Create a personalized debt elimination plan
Next a personal debt elimination plan will be developed to suit your particular situation and to meet your long term goals.
- 4Implement plan and improve cash flow
Your debt elimination plan will then be implemented and your cash flow will quickly improve. Creditor calls will stop, stress levels will lower and you can start to get on track again with your life.
- 5Build credit and review budgeting to keep on track
If necessary we will help you build your credit and develop a budgeting plan to keep you on track in the future
- 6Ongoing long term support
We will provide ongoing support as long as needed to ensure you stay on track, stay out of debt and achieve your goals.
Our Clients For Life philosophy promises that we will always be available to assist you in the future.
At our first meeting we will discuss all your options to get out of debt including debt consolidation, credit counseling, debt negotiation, release of equity from your home etc.
We prefer to help our clients avoid bankruptcy if possible and this is normally achieved by filing a consumer proposal through a licensed insolvency trustee (LIT). The LIT has an obligation to also represent the interests of the creditors whereas 4 Pillars sole role is to represent your interests and to support you.
A consumer proposal is an offer to our client`s creditors to pay off the debt interest free over a period of up to 5 years and usually a good portion of the debt is forgiven.
When a consumer proposal is filed:
- Our client is legally protected from the creditors
- Interest stops on all the unsecured debts
- All our client`s assets are protected.
- Creditors can no longer call our client.
